iTweetReply Push
- Why aren't my replies or direct messages getting pushed?
- There can be dozens of reasons why push isn't functioning, we've found the easiest way to fix these issues is to have a personal approach by looking at your account information. For this reason we've created the iTweetReply Push Debug Panel to better assist you in fixing push related issues.
- Why aren't my push settings saving?
- Due to limitations with the iPhone SDK you must open the iTweetReply app to save push settings, this includes what is pushed (replies, direct messages or your timeline), if notifications are sent separately, what sound is played and how frequently twitter is checked.
- What does sending separately mean?
- iTweetReply has the unique ability to cue your notifications so you don't miss ones if they quickly come in at the same time. (i.e. Replies from @a & @b). Some users prefer not to sure this feature and turning on sending separately enables this.
iTweetReply Search Push
- What is Twitter Push Search?
- Twitter push search enables users to add terms that Syncode will search Twitter for and then use Apple's push notification send to your device.
- Why can I only add two terms for free?
- The background costs behind running the infrastructure have forced us to charge for extra searches after the first complementary two. Users can simply tap "Buy Searches" to use in-app purchases to get more terms.
- How do I delete previously added search terms?
- Simply swipe your finger across the row you wish to delete and tap the "Delete" button.
- Why can't I add a search term with a space?
- This is an unfortunate bug that effects a small margin of users; Until the next update you can still add a term with a space by replacing the " " with a "+".
Using iTweetReply
- How do I look at my replies, direct messages and timeline?
- iTweetReply uses a tab bar as it's form of navigation, also used in standard apps such as Clock and iPod. The tab bar is used for quickly jumping between your Twitter replies, direct message and timeline.
- How can I send replies, direct messages and post tweets?
- Tapping on a single reply or tweet will take you to the single tweet view allowing you to reply to this, send the user a direct message or re-tweet the message.
Tap the compose icon in the top right of the screen whilst being on the replies or timeline page to post a new tweet. From here you can type your message and attach a photo if you wish. Tapping the '+' icon will allow you to select a user from your following list to send this tweet to as an @reply. Tapping the compose icon in the 'Messages' tab will allow you to do the same, but as a direct message.
