- What is a 'Synote'?
- A Synote is a basic text note stored in Synotes, with an assignable icon.
- What is an icon?
- An icon is an image that represents what a note is about. Synotes comes with twenty stylist icons to choose from.
- What is my Syncode ID?
- Your Syncode ID is the email address and password that you registered with us. Your Syncode ID lets you access all of your information with one handy login, in any Syncode application.
- What is 'the cloud' and how does Synotes use it?
- The cloud refers to all the information that we store for you on the Internet. You can access it using the website, your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.
- What is "filter by icon"?
- Filtering by icon allows you to sort and organise your Synotes by their icon on any platform.

- Why can't I use Synotes in Internet Explore 6?
- Synotes uses current web standards to provide users with the best possible experience. Unfortunately, Internet Explorer 6 is not standards-compliant, and we encourage you to upgrade to a modern web browser, including Internet Explorer 8, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari or Google Chrome.
iPhone, iPod touch & iPad
- What is offline editing?
- Offline editing enables users of iPod touches and iPhone's who don't have an active internet connection to continue adding, editing, rearranging and deleting Synotes offline. These changes are then updated to the could next time Synotes has an active Internet connection.
- Can my changes be updated in the cloud when Synotes is closed?
- No unfortunately not, due to Apple restrictions with background processing you must open Synotes to sync.
- What is smart sync?
- Smart Sync understands how your information changes, only Syncing when it needs to.
